Back 2 Basics is a Java vanilla survival server built around a relaxed environment, a friendly staff team, and regular community events. Build what you want and play at your own pace, with a simple chunk-based claim system to help keep your builds and items protected.
We also host special events on our Red Server, including our basketball tournament on 3/28 at 10am EST. No gear is required, and new players are welcome. If you have never seen basketball on a Minecraft server before, come check it out and learn how it works.
If you arrive a little early, you can practice and go over the rules. Brackets may start slightly late if we need to make last-minute adjustments. New players who join for the event will receive a custom server item unique to Back 2 Basics, plus some starter help if you decide to keep playing.

Copy the server address below, open Minecraft, then add it in your server list.
- Open Minecraft.
- Go to the servers or multiplayer screen.
- Add a server or use an option like Direct Connection or Add External Server.
- Paste this server address into the address field: play.back2basics.gg
- Save or confirm, then join the server.
