Welcome to BareBonesMP, a close-knit whitelisted Minecraft community founded in 2019 and built around the classic server experience. Our semi-vanilla SMP offers a grounded, Hermitcraft-like style of play with quality-of-life tweaks and no teleport commands.

We host events every weekend, along with monthly mayor elections and other community activities. Stealing and griefing are not allowed, while block damage remains enabled, including fire spread and creeper explosions.

Optional features include proximity voice chat, cross Discord and in-game text chat, statistic leaderboards, 50% sleep, player and mob heads, and armor stand tools. The map was reset on March 6, and an optional hardcore server is also available.

How to join

Copy the server address below, open Minecraft, then add it in your server list.

  1. Open Minecraft.
  2. Go to the servers or multiplayer screen.
  3. Add a server or use an option like Direct Connection or Add External Server.
  4. Paste this server address into the address field: play.barebonesmp.com
  5. Save or confirm, then join the server.
