Eight Districts SMP Economy

At Eight Districts SMP, we make every block you gather part of your progress. Everyone starts with $0: mine and collect resources in the Frontier, then sell them to the Mint to earn money for land. The Mint buys around 240 kinds of blocks, and prices adjust as the whole server sells more of each item, helping keep the economy from revolving around a single farm.

Our map centers on the Capitol, surrounded by Downtown, Inner Ring, Outer Ring, and Homesteads. Those rings are divided into eight themed districts: Luxury & Alchemy, Oceans & Rivers, Industry, Masonry & Arms, Forestry, Grain, Livestock & Textiles, and Transport. Inside the border, Treasury land is protected from griefing and PvP is off except on the Colosseum floor. Claim a chunk with /claim, invite friends, and pay a small daily upkeep to keep your land.

The Frontier begins beyond 16,000 blocks and is where everyone mines. PvP is enabled there, and land is unprotected, so bringing home resources means accepting some risk. Eight outposts line the border, while eight depots pay 50% extra for goods you carry in on foot. The Nether and End follow the same Frontier rules.

We help new players find their footing with the Settler advancement tab, an on-screen path bar, /howto, /rules, and chat tips. Use /travel to reach the outposts and ring spawns, and /changelog to catch up on changes. Java 1.9+ and Bedrock players share one world. We also run anticheat, anti-xray, and block logging. There’s no whitelist, and our chat is friendly to players of all ages.
