Reckoning PvP

Reckoning is a survival multiplayer world where every player starts with three lives, and every fight has consequences. Defeat another player to claim one of their spare lives. If they have none left, their life is destroyed and you gain nothing, so reckless hunting is never automatically profitable. World deaths from lava, mobs, falls, or the void do not cost lives. Only another player can take one from you.

Lose all three lives and you become Hollow for 48 hours. You can still walk around and talk, but you cannot interact with the world unless another player chooses to spend one of their own lives bringing you back. Reckoning makes survival social in a way few servers do: alliances matter, enemies matter, and your community decides whether you are worth saving.

PvP is always meaningful, but it is never forced. Players who want a peaceful survival experience can avoid combat, while fighters must manage their public Standing. Every kill lowers it, repeated kills against the same player lower it much faster, and a poor reputation brings real consequences: mobs detect you from farther away, villagers stop trading, and you retain less XP after death. Standing recovers only on days you play without killing anyone.

New players receive roughly three hours of real-playtime protection before they can harm or be harmed by others. Build and explore with land claims, use optional proximity voice chat to coordinate or negotiate, and enjoy Java-Bedrock crossplay in a server with no pay-to-win advantages. Reckoning is built for players who want vanilla survival, meaningful PvP, and a world where trust and reputation are part of progression.
