Farm world

A farm world is a separate world set aside for harvesting resources so the main world stays focused on long-term bases and towns. Instead of strip-mining under someone’s build or leaving permanent scars around spawn, players do their digging, logging, and large-scale collection in a place that is expected to get chewed up.

The loop is straightforward: go to the farm world, gather fast, then bring the materials home. That usually means mining for diamonds and redstone, clearing forests for logs, hunting for drops, and stocking up on blocks like stone, sand, and terracotta without worrying about ruining anyone’s neighborhood. It also becomes the default place for risky trips, because you are not putting your base on the line every time you explore.

What makes it feel distinct is the disposable mindset. Terrain is treated like a consumable, so you will see exhausted quarries, ravaged biomes, and utilitarian tunnel networks built for speed. Many servers reset the farm world on a schedule, refreshing ores, structures, and exploration rewards while keeping builds and claims elsewhere untouched.

Rules often reflect that purpose. Protection is commonly lighter, access is funneled through a spawn portal or command, and servers may discourage permanent builds there. A good farm world keeps the grind out of places people care about, while still making resource gathering feel like real survival.

Will my base get reset if the farm world resets?

Usually not. Farm world resets are meant to regenerate the resource world only. The main world, build world, or claimed areas typically remain persistent.

Do I keep items I collect in the farm world?

Most of the time, yes. The expectation is that you gather there and return with your inventory to use those materials in your base world.

Is the farm world meant for building?

Not for anything you want to keep. Players may throw down temporary outposts, portals, or mines, but permanent bases are usually discouraged because the world is treated as expendable and often gets reset.

Why do servers reset the farm world instead of the main world?

It restores access to ores, fresh terrain, and lootable structures without wiping player projects. It also prevents the main world from turning into a patchwork of abandoned mines and stripped biomes.

Is PvP enabled in a farm world?

It varies. Some servers keep PvP off so gathering stays efficient, while others allow PvP because it is the one place where losing a fight does not threaten long-term builds.
