Level cap
A level cap server sets a hard ceiling on character levels. You gain levels through combat, quests, jobs, skills, or a custom XP system, but at the cap the number stops climbing. That single limit dictates the server pace: how quickly newcomers can catch up, how long early progression matters, and when the focus shifts from leveling to refinement.
The loop is simple: push to cap, then build a max-level character. Power comes from gear tiers, enchant lines, talent or stat builds, profession output, and upgrade systems like reforging or augmenting. Good setups make hitting the cap feel like permission to play harder content, not the end of progression.
Culturally, a cap narrows the gap between veterans and new players because nobody can outlevel everything forever. It also makes decisions sharper. Build choices, item rolls, and consumable prep matter more once levels are off the table. You still progress, just in deliberate steps, which keeps PvE tuning, PvP matchups, and the economy anchored around a known maximum.
