No xray

No xray servers run survival with a straightforward expectation: resources are earned through normal play. Diamonds come from caving, branch mining, and good decision-making, not from seeing ore through stone. The goal is fairness, so progression and fights are not decided by who is willing to cheat.

Most setups combine prevention and enforcement so xray is a bad gamble. Ore data is often hidden until blocks are exposed, and suspicious mining patterns get reviewed. You can still mine efficiently with Fortune, beacons, and big quarries. The difference is that sudden, unnatural resource spikes stand out, and the world stops feeling picked clean by invisible miners.

The pace feels more honest. Early gear takes longer, netherite is a real project, and stacked kits show up because someone put in the hours, not because they rushed straight to every vein. On servers with trading, high-value materials stay meaningfully scarce, which keeps prices and progression from collapsing into diamond inflation.

Does no xray ban shaders, minimaps, or normal resource packs?

Usually no. The line is anything that reveals underground information you should not have, like ore outlines through blocks, cave/ore ESP, or cheat client modules. Cosmetic packs and typical shaders are often fine, but if a pack makes hidden ore readable, it is treated as xray.

How do servers stop or catch xray use?

Common approaches are preventative obfuscation (so the client does not see true ore until it is exposed) plus detection from mining stats and patterns. Staff will often review context rather than banning on a single flag.

Will anti-xray change how mining feels?

On a well-tuned server, your mining loop stays the same: caves, branch mines, and quarrying still work. If the prevention is aggressive or poorly configured, you might notice odd block reveals or lag at peak times, which is more of a server quality issue than the idea itself.

Why does no xray matter on economy or trading servers?

Because it protects rarity. If diamonds, ancient debris, and other bottleneck items get injected at cheat rates, prices crash and progression turns meaningless. With xray under control, grinding, farms, and trading skill matter again.

What if a legitimate player gets flagged?

Good moderation treats flags as leads, not verdicts. They look at longer-term patterns, logs, and context, and many run an appeal process where clips or session recordings help. Instant bans from raw automation are a moderation problem, not a requirement of no xray.
