The Old Frontier Economy

Welcome to The Old Frontier, an ongoing fantasy Minecraft world shaped by the choices of its players. Create a character from 18 playable races and 9 custom classes, develop professions, build relationships, and help shape a persistent world where stories continue between major events.

Explore custom dungeons, follow narrative quests, uncover forgotten history, and pursue archaeology. Our custom professions and crafting give you ways to develop your character and contribute, while settlements, trade, politics, and everyday encounters create room for player-led stories and conflicts.

There’s more to discover across the world, including an in-depth magic system, a detailed colony system, player-created paintings and music, and messenger birds. Whether you enjoy character-driven storytelling, exploration, crafting, or building a community, there are lasting ways to make your mark here.

The Old Frontier is built for long-term play, not a one-time campaign or temporary civilisation event. Join our tutorial to get started. Completing an application is required for full participation.
