The Pen is built for players who enjoy the slower, more rewarding grind of classic prison gameplay. Start by mining and manually smelting your resources, then risk the journey through PvP zones to sell your haul at the Commissary. Advance from ranks A through H, continue as a Parolee and Citizen, and unlock Prestige once you reach the top of the ladder.

Mining is only one way to make progress. Take on custom fishing, fight boss waves in the Mob Arena, or build a cookie-farming operation backed by long-term quests and leaderboards. Quests, bounties, parkour challenges, auctions, and player shops give you several ways to earn money and develop your own route through The Pen's economy.
