DownRiver SMP is launching Season 2 in preparation for the 1.21 update, and we’d love for you to join us. Our aim is to keep the familiar feel of vanilla Minecraft, with a few quality-of-life additions like fast leaf decay, player heads, and Discord integration.
Whether you want to set up shop in the shopping district, collaborate on community projects, or live off on your own like a hermit, there’s room for your playstyle here.
The new map launches March 15, and the world will be 1k by 1k blocks for the first six weeks so everyone is playing close together, building community momentum, and working toward shared goals. During that time we’ll be completing challenges for special rewards and resources, running weekly in-game and build competitions, and building spawn together.
After the first thirty days, we’ll begin expanding the world incrementally until the update, followed by a larger expansion. For Season 2, we’re building spawn around an Ancient Greeks vs Ancient Romans theme, and we’d be happy to have you help shape it from the start.

Copy the server address below, open Minecraft, then add it in your server list.
- Open Minecraft.
- Go to the servers or multiplayer screen.
- Add a server or use an option like Direct Connection or Add External Server.
- Paste this server address into the address field: 66.59.210.161
- Save or confirm, then join the server.
