MineScape is a fantasy medieval MMO built on top of vanilla Minecraft survival with custom systems layered in. We’re moving from pre-alpha into alpha, and we want to share what we’ve built so far.

The core loop is long-term progression through skill grinding, making money, converting wealth into emeralds, gearing for PvP, and fighting over land. Early progression leans into PvE, gathering, farming, fishing, brewing, and building wealth before you transition into the endgame PvP economy.

Progression is powered by ValhallaMMO: you level skills by using them, not by picking a class. Crafting and professions matter, especially smithing, where your skill affects crafted gear quality.

You can choose from 10 fantasy races with real strengths and weaknesses that affect how you fight, gather, craft, and survive. Races are not cosmetic and are meant to create clear build identity.

There are 30+ custom weapons and several sets of custom armor to work toward through regular play. PvP is designed around roles and counters, supported by 24 custom enchantments.

The world is packed with MythicMobs, including 65+ custom creatures ranging from crabs and jellyfish to goblins, whipmasters, rangers, orcs, hellswine variants, golems, and elite bosses like the Runestone Titan and Undead Warlord. The End also has its own threats, including the Defiled Watcher, Shulkrab, and Void Ooze.

Seasons are tied to the real-world calendar through RealisticSeasons, changing day length, temperature, and night danger. Winter nights are long, cold, and genuinely dangerous, so travel and preparation matter.

Our economy uses two currencies: Ferrum for everyday trade and emeralds as an end-game currency. Villager trading is disabled; emeralds can be bought from an NPC at spawn or found in unraided Trial Chambers. We also run NPC buyers for common materials, a fishmonger that buys 49 custom fish species, plus custom crops and foods with practical survival uses.

You can collect around 30 pets and a flying dragon mount, and we include grappling hooks to keep raids and movement fast and dynamic.
