Timed, server-visible activities with clear start and end points: KOTH, outposts, boss fights, dungeon opens, drop parties, parkour rotations, and contests like top kills, mining, fishing, or mob clears. The key is rotation and scheduling, not normal freeplay.

Usually frequent and overlapping. Instead of one endless event, you get a steady cadence where something starts every few minutes to every hour, with bigger objectives running on longer cycles.

You can make progress in short sessions, but frequent play helps. Good servers keep it fair with multiple time slots for major events, daily resets, and participation rewards so you are not punished for missing a window.

Often, because timed objectives create fights. But some lean PvE with rotations like bosses, dungeons, invasions, and cooperative server goals, with PvP limited to specific zones or optional objectives.

Look at the event cadence and whether timers are visible and reliable. Check how rewards work (participation vs top placement), whether events are accessible across time zones, and whether there is meaningful gameplay between timers or if everything is just chasing the next announcement.
