Farther out buys privacy, but travel time and supply runs become the tax. Smart players also manage their footprint by avoiding obvious signs like straight mine entrances, beacon beams, and constant portal traffic.

Usually no. Most bases die because they get found, not because a wall was too thin. Modest builds with good concealment, compartmentalized storage, and a couple of backup stashes often outlive huge fortresses that broadcast where the loot is.

By following habits. Nether highways, portal networks, and travel tunnels are the biggest leads. In the overworld it is the little giveaways: chopped forests, torch lines, bridges to nowhere, flattened areas, and fresh quarry scars.
