Double shulker shells is a survival ruleset where each shulker drops two shells instead of one. Since a shulker box costs two shells, this turns End City raiding from hoping you find matching drops into a straightforward exchange: kill shulkers, earn boxes. The End still has to be reached and conquered, but the reward becomes consistent rather than luck-gated.
The practical impact is pacing. After the dragon, one solid End City run can supply enough shulker boxes to support real infrastructure: longer mining trips, nether hub building, big relocations, and shared storage rooms that do not collapse into chest clutter. You still pay the risk and travel time of End raiding, you just get a cleaner payoff for it.
On long-running servers, this usually reduces inventory friction across the whole season. People spend less time making repeat End trips for basic storage and more time actually building, organizing, and collaborating. It stays close to vanilla because combat, farms, and block balance are unchanged; it simply makes shulker boxes a normal tool for active players instead of a scarcity controlled by early End luck.
