Farms friendly

Farms friendly servers are for survival players who build infrastructure on purpose. Mob grinders, iron farms, villager breeders, gold farms, tree farms, and hopper-fed storage are expected parts of progression, not something that gets punished the moment it works.

The loop is simple: put time into a system, then cash in the output to build faster and grind less. A good farms friendly server stays playable with complex redstone by tuning performance responsibly and publishing the rules, so your long-term builds do not get invalidated overnight.

In practice, it means fewer anti-farm plugins and fewer hidden caps that quietly kill mechanics. You still have boundaries: where high-impact farms belong, what chunk loading and AFK setups are allowed, and what happens when a design starts dragging TPS. The point is that optimization is allowed, as long as it is built clean and does not take the whole server down with it.

Are mob farms and iron farms actually allowed?

Most of the time, yes. Common designs using spawn platforms, water streams, lava kills, and villager mechanics are considered legitimate. Limits usually target extreme entity counts or laggy layouts, not the idea of farming itself.

Will farm rates get nerfed by hidden settings?

On a properly farms friendly server, anything that changes output is documented. Performance settings can still exist, but you should not be left guessing why a farm suddenly produces nothing.

Do chunk loaders work here?

Sometimes, with restrictions. Farms friendly does not automatically mean 24/7 chunk loading; it means the rules aim to support farms without turning them into permanent background load.

Are villager trading halls and villager-based farms safe to build?

Usually yes, but expect guidelines. Villagers are powerful and can be heavy on performance, so servers often enforce reasonable caps per area and expect builds that reduce pathfinding chaos and uncontrolled breeding.

What should I check before committing to a big farm base?

Look for posted limits and enforcement around villagers, entities, hoppers, minecarts, redstone clocks, and AFK rules. If those details are missing, you are more likely to run into surprise restrictions later.
