HCF

HCF, short for Hardcore Factions, is factions PvP with real consequences. You claim land, build to survive, and move through the world like someone is always watching, because they usually are. Progress is fast and practical: get gear, get pots, secure routes to the Nether and key areas, then spend your time scouting, pressuring rivals, and protecting your own access to resources.

The format is defined by deathbans. Dying locks you out for a meaningful timer, so every roam, every portal run, every chase has weight. Fights stop being casual trades and turn into decisions shaped by info, numbers, and timing. Good teams play around staying alive as much as getting kills, because one wipe can bench half your roster and shift control of the map overnight.

Most PvP is coordinated group fighting: target calls, peeling, refills, and support roles like bard. Traps are a core skill, not a gimmick. Clean pearl catches, block-ups, and prebuilt boxes convert small mistakes into picks, and picks snowball into control.

HCF runs in maps with a strong arc: the opening rush, the gear and claims arms race, then scheduled objectives that force contact. KOTH and citadel-style events concentrate the best teams into one spot where winning is about more than loot. It is territory, safety, and the right to move through the server on your terms.

How long is the deathban in HCF?

It depends on the server and often scales with time played or perks, but it is always long enough to matter. The goal is to make survival and clean fights more important than trading kits.

Is HCF mainly raiding?

Raiding exists, but the daily game is control. Teams fight over routes, claims, event areas, portals, and who gets to farm without being jumped. Bases are built to hold up under pressure and to support PvP, not just to be cracked open.

What does a typical HCF roster look like?

Usually a core of diamond fighters with one dedicated support like bard, and sometimes an archer or other kit depending on rules. Strong teams assign roles, keep sets and pots flowing, and fight as a unit instead of chasing highlights.

Can a small group compete in HCF?

Yes, but it demands discipline. Smaller teams win by taking smarter fights, using traps and terrain, avoiding bad timing, and picking objectives they can actually hold. Big rosters forgive mistakes; small rosters cannot.

What are HCF events like?

Timed capture objectives where multiple teams collide over one point. Expect heavy focus fire, coordinated pushes, and constant third-party pressure. One event win can fund a faction and change who controls the server for days.
