Keep Inventory at Spawn
Keep Inventory at Spawn means you keep your items if you die inside the spawn region. It is not global keepInventory. It creates a safe pocket around the hub or starter town where you can read rules, navigate warps, trade, and get situated without losing gear to fall damage, mobs, or random hits.
The loop is clean: spawn is for setup, outside spawn is for stakes. Players use the protected area to sort their inventory, craft basics, grab starter kits, and stash valuables before heading out. Cross the boundary and death usually goes back to normal drops, so resource runs and PvP still carry consequences.
This also changes how the server feels socially. Spawn stays active instead of turning into a churn point where new players quit after an early death. It cuts down on low-effort spawn camping, and moderation is simpler when the busiest area has fewer meaningful losses on the line.
Does Keep Inventory at Spawn mean I keep items everywhere?
No. The protection is tied to a defined spawn region. Once you leave it, expect normal inventory drops unless the server says otherwise.
How do I know where the keep-inventory spawn area ends?
Most servers show a message when you enter or leave, or the spawn builds clearly end at a border or gate. If it is unclear, step out with an empty inventory first or ask before taking valuables.
If I die outside spawn, can my items be protected if they land inside spawn?
Usually no. Drops are almost always decided by where you died, not where the items slide afterward. Assume you will drop everything if the death happens outside the region.
Is PvP disabled at spawn on these servers?
Often, yes. Many servers pair spawn keep-inventory with safezone rules like disabled PvP, protected blocks, and reduced mob threat so the hub stays functional.
Why use Keep Inventory at Spawn instead of global keepInventory?
It protects the hub and early minutes of play without deleting the survival risk loop everywhere else. You get a stable social center, but the world outside still demands planning.
