No rollbacks

No rollbacks servers treat the world state as final. If you get raided, scammed, lava-trapped, or lose gear to the void, staff will not rewind chunks or restore inventories. The loss is part of the server.

That one rule changes how people play. You carry less, you plan more, and you build like someone might find you. Ender chest kits, split stashes, decoy storage, hidden access, and careful Nether and End travel become normal because redundancy is the only safety net.

Conflict lands harder. A clean raid or a won fight actually matters because nothing gets undone, and that pushes players toward better OPSEC and longer memories. Depending on the community it can feel harsh and survivalist, or simply more honest: consequences are consistent.

No rollbacks is not the same as no moderation. Many servers still enforce anti-cheat and ban major exploits, but they avoid fixing outcomes after the fact unless it was clearly a server-side failure. Join with the mindset that your security and backups are on you.

Does no rollbacks mean griefing is allowed?

Not by itself. Some worlds are anarchy or semi-anarchy where griefing and raiding are expected. Others still ban certain behavior, they just will not restore damage afterward. Either way, assume anything you lose stays lost.

If I get hacked, scammed, or tricked, will my items be returned?

Usually no. Staff may punish rule-breaking, but item returns and trade reversals are uncommon on no rollbacks servers. Treat account security and deals as your responsibility.

Are crashes, dupes, and exploits ever rolled back?

Sometimes only for clear, server-wide failures. More often, exploits get patched and punished while the world is left as-is. If a server does roll back, it is typically reserved for truly catastrophic damage.

What actually works for base protection without rollbacks?

Nothing is perfect, so you aim for cost and uncertainty. Keep valuables in your ender chest, split loot across multiple stashes, avoid obvious travel patterns, use misdirection, and do not store everything in one room.
