Protecciones is survival built for permanence. You claim land, and the server enforces ownership so strangers cannot break or place blocks, open containers, or interact with key mechanics inside your area unless you grant access. The map stops resetting socially every time you log off, so bases, farms, and towns can last.

The loop is straightforward: roam, pick a spot, claim it, then build outward. Early game is rushing a starter claim and securing storage. Midgame becomes claim design: sizing zones for farms and villagers, setting boundaries, and using trust or member permissions so teammates can function without being able to wipe you.

This format changes what multiplayer conflict looks like. Instead of constant griefing and door-camping, the friction moves to borders, access rights, and shared space like shops or community farms. The best Protecciones servers keep claims understandable and constrained so the world stays explorable and land cannot be hoarded for free.

What usually gets blocked inside a claim?

Anything that would let a stranger alter your base: breaking and placing blocks, opening chests and storage, and often doors, buttons, levers, and other interactions. The exact list depends on the server settings and the permissions you grant.

How do you share a base safely?

Use granular trust. Give friends only the permissions they need, and keep a small locked area for valuables. If the server supports per-claim roles, separate builder access from container access and management rights.

Is PvP still a thing on Protecciones servers?

Often yes, but it is usually pushed to the wilderness or specific arenas. Many servers disable PvP inside claims and block raiding through protections, unless they add opt-in wars or scheduled conflict zones.

Why do claims sometimes feel oppressive on a map?

When claiming is too cheap or unlimited, players grab huge rectangles, choke routes, or fence off biomes. Servers avoid this with claim limits, costs, decay for inactivity, and rules against blocking essential access.
