Rebirths
Rebirths are a progression loop where you choose to reset your ladder progress for a permanent advantage. They are most common on Prison and grind-heavy economy servers for a simple reason: hitting the top rank kills momentum unless the server gives you a meaningful next climb.
The loop is straightforward. You work through ranks by mining, selling, ranking up, and unlocking better areas or kits. Once you meet the requirement, usually top rank plus a cost or milestone, you rebirth and start the ladder again. You come back stronger through stacked bonuses like sell or token multipliers, faster XP, better enchant power, or quality-of-life perks such as more homes or bigger storage. The point is not the reset, it is how much faster and cleaner the next run feels.
A good rebirth system turns the server into an efficiency game. Early ranks become a quick opener, mid ranks are where your setup matters, and endgame is planning your next cycle: which enchants scale best, when to spend on upgrades versus saving for the next cost, and how to keep your tempo high. Players end up talking in multipliers and run planning the way other modes talk about loot and matchups.
Rebirths also change status and competition. The top players are not only rich, they are deep into rebirth counts, which keeps leaderboards and milestones relevant without constant global wipes. When it is tuned well, rebirthing feels like earned acceleration, not having your progress taken away.
What typically resets when you rebirth?
Usually your rank ladder resets, and often your cash gets reduced or set back as part of the cost. Access tied to rank, like certain mines or commands, commonly locks again. Your rebirth count and the bonuses you earned from it are meant to persist, but item, token, and enchant retention varies by server.
Are rebirths the same as prestige?
Sometimes, yes, just different naming. On a lot of servers, prestige is the first reset layer after rankups, and rebirth is a deeper reset that gives larger permanent scaling. The important part is what gets wiped and what stacks, not the word used.
When is it smart to rebirth instead of farming at the top?
When the rebirth bonus increases your next climb enough to beat whatever you can earn by staying capped. If the reward is a sell or token multiplier, it often pays back quickly because it speeds every step of the next run. If the reward is mostly cosmetic or minor quality-of-life, players usually farm longer before resetting.
Do rebirth systems favor veterans too hard?
They can, because stacked multipliers naturally widen gaps. The healthier versions keep rebirths as a long-term chase without making early progress feel pointless, and they avoid multiplier stacking so extreme that new players cannot meaningfully catch up with consistent play.
What kinds of requirements do servers use for rebirths?
Common gates are reaching the final rank or prestige, paying a large cost, mining a certain number of blocks, or completing a small checklist of milestones. Some add cooldowns to prevent instant chain resets. The intent is to make sure you actually finish a full run before you start optimizing repeats.
