Welcome to The Tavern SMP, a near-vanilla survival server built around a laid-back community and long-term worlds.
We run with a greylist: anyone can join, and access is handled automatically by linking your Discord account in-game. There is no manual whitelisting.
Gameplay stays close to vanilla with a few QoL and cosmetic touches, including a sleep mechanic, proximity voice chat, a live web map, and a stats website.
We support technical play with a nether roof travel hub and allow TNT dupers and redstone contraptions as long as they do not noticeably lag the server. Client-side QoL mods like performance mods, minimaps, waypoints, and building tools such as Litematica are allowed, but printers are not.
We do not do forced resets. Major decisions like resets are handled through community votes, with occasional community projects and events along the way.

How to join
Copy the server address below, open Minecraft, then add it in your server list.
- Open Minecraft.
- Go to the servers or multiplayer screen.
- Add a server or use an option like Direct Connection or Add External Server.
- Paste this server address into the address field: thetavern-smp.com
- Save or confirm, then join the server.
