VanillaSMP Vanilla

VanillaSMP is built for players who want a true vanilla Minecraft experience. We run the official minecraft-server.jar with no plugins and no datapacks, keeping the game close to its original design.

There is no elaborate spawn or long list of rules to read before playing. You are free to play how you want, build what you want, and explore the game while handling social issues directly with other players. Technical minecrafters are welcome.

We stay on the latest stable vanilla jar and host the server on a purpose-built, self-hosted machine. There is no teleport or sethome, so this is best suited to players who enjoy vanilla's quirks and challenges.

How to join

Copy the server address below, open Minecraft, then add it in your server list.

  1. Open Minecraft.
  2. Go to the servers or multiplayer screen.
  3. Add a server or use an option like Direct Connection or Add External Server.
  4. Paste this server address into the address field: vanillasmp.net
  5. Save or confirm, then join the server.
