Waychest Journey Based Semi Vanilla PvE SMP
“Waychest”
Waychest is a custom-built, PvE-focused semi-vanilla SMP for Java, designed as an extension of vanilla survival with a strong emphasis on exploration and building.
The core idea is the Journey system: you and your friends begin in what feels like your own private server, with a random spawn point inside one shared survival world. You can create multiple Journeys, each with its own spawn, its own progression, and its own set of Journey partners.
As you explore, you’ll discover you are not alone. Waychests and other custom items and blocks act as breadcrumbs left behind by other players, guiding you toward discoveries and occasional face-to-face encounters. You can later craft and place your own Waychests to lead future Journeys to what you’ve built.
For movement and discovery, we run unlock-by-finding warps for fast travel. You can also find ingredients to craft an Elytra that starts the Waychest Flight minigame, where flying through rings ultimately leads you to a Waychest built by a stranger.
Waychests you place also create an expandable area of protection for certain blocks and containers. We also have Radiance to help you skip the night.

How to join
Copy the server address below, open Minecraft, then add it in your server list.
- Open Minecraft.
- Go to the servers or multiplayer screen.
- Add a server or use an option like Direct Connection or Add External Server.
- Paste this server address into the address field: waychest.com
- Save or confirm, then join the server.
